We started this autumn 2006, but the Scottish weather hasn’t been kind to us so far, so we’ve had to abandon more walking days than we’ve walked so far. We did Milngavie to Rowardennan in October 2006, Crianlarich to Tyndrum in April 2007 and Rowardennan to Inverarnan and Bridge of Orchy to Kingshouse in August 2007.

The route breaks down into roughly these stages:

Day 1: Milngavie (station) - Drymen - 12.25m (pretty flat)
Day 2: Drymen - Rowardennan - 13m (tough)
Day 3: Rowardennan - Inverarnan - 13m (tough)
Day 4: Inverarnan - Tyndrum - 12m (easier)
Day 5: Tyndrum - Inveroran - 9m
Day 6: Inveroran - Kingshouse - 9.5m
Day 7: Kingshouse - Kinlochleven - 9m
Day 8: Kinlochleven to Fort William centre (15.25m) - long and uphill :o((
