One of my goals was to climb the Three Peaks in the UK: Ben Nevis (Scotland), Snowdon (Wales) and Scafell Pike (England). To be fair this was actually my Mum's goal: she wanted to do them all before she was 60.
We got Ben Nevis (1344m/4409ft) on Wednesday 10 May 2006 with Mum & Iain.
Mum, Dad and I climbed Snowdon on Sunday 3rd September 2006. We went up the Pyg trail and back down the Miner's trail. The weather was fine most of the way up and then took a decided turn for the worse, getting particularly blowy once we got onto the ridge. Can't say the views were up to much but good to have got it under our belt. Dad said this was going to be his first and last mountain summited!
We got Scafell Pike on 6 June 2007 - a beautiful day!
