So far I've only bagged 1 summit outside the UK - though it was the toughest of all of them and I'm not sure I want to do anything tougher!
Kala Patthar in Nepal is the best place to get a view of Everest. When I did the Everest Base Camp trek in May 2003, the second toughest day was the day we climbed this mountain. We had spectacular weather and phenomenal views. It was a great moment, knowing that, in spite of feeling pretty rough I'd made it afterall. Also pretty good knowing that it was downhill and better oxygen levels all the way after that point!
